Goddard breaks discus record

Several members of the Haxtun boys' and girls' track teams have qualified for the State Track Meet slated for later this week at Jeff. Co. Stadium in Lakewood.

In the team's final outings of the regular season, junior Cassidy Goddard broke Haxtun High School's record in discus. Her throw of 103 feet, eight inches at the HOKA St. Vrain Invitational on May 12 beat the record of 126 feet, six inches set by Callie Dickerson in 2017 at the Colorado 1A State Track Meet.
