A LATE NIGHT storm hit the Haxtun and Fleming on Wednesday, June 28. The thunderstorm pelted the area with large hail and rain. This photo from Haxtun shows the size of some of the hail pieces that fell through the night. Residents reported broken windows and damage to vehicles and crops. The storm knocked out power to the Town of Fleming, which was restored several hours later.
