Warm temps & fires keep local department busy

THE HAXTUN Volunteer Fire Department responded to a number of calls over the past week, including several on Sunday. One of Sunday's calls included help to extinguish flames on a tractor that caught fire in the middle of wheat harvest. The equipment was a total loss, however, no injuries were reported.
