HAXTUN'S JEFF PLUMB received the honor of Outstanding Agricultural Education Teacher by the National Association of Agricultural Educators recently. Plumb is now in his 24th year as ag teacher at Haxtun High School.

Each year the NAAE honors the highest quality agricultural education programs while recognizing leadership in civic, community, agricultural/agribusiness and professional activities. Outstanding educators are honored for serving as a catalyst for student success in education. Nominations for the annual award comes from fellow teachers or students.

In addition to Plumb's award, several others in the area were also honored. Shauna Strecker, Holyoke High School Agriculture Teacher, was honored as Outstanding Young Agricultural Teacher and Todd Everhart, from Merino High School, was recognized as Outstanding Agricultural Teacher Mentor.
