HADLEY STULL, Fleming Lady Wildcat freshman, puts up a pass from the back row in Fleming's home opener against Wiggins two weeks ago.

After the opening 10 matches of the 2023 volleyball season, the Fleming Lady Wildcats sit in MaxPreps' third spot in the 1A North Central League. Briggsdale holds the top spot at 2-0 in the league and Weldon Valley is currently in second at 1-0 following last week's victory over the Lady Wildcats.

Fleming took on Weldon Valley and Prairie over the past week. They faced off with the Lady Warriors on Thursday, Sept. 7 at home.

Thursday's contest went to five sets with the opening set going in favor of the Lady Wildcats, 25-20. Weldon Valley claimed sets two and three, 25-17 and 25-23, respectively.

Fleming answered back with a fourth-set win, 25-18, but ultimately fell in the match after a 15-11 fifth-set loss.

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Fleming traveled to Prairie for more league action. The Lady Wildcats swept the Lady Mustangs putting Prairie in the fourth spot in league standings behind Fleming.

Scores by set and individual stats were not reported for the game against Prairie.

The Lady Wildcats are scheduled for one single match this week on Thursday, Sept. 14, when they're set to travel to Lone Star to take on the Lady Longhorns. Lone Star held a record identical to Fleming's heading into the match - 6-4, overall. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
