Three Lady Bulldog volleyball players earn All-Conference honors

Three Lady Bulldogs received All-Conference honors at the conclusion of the 2023 volleyball season. This year's team finished in the top six with an impressive showing at the 1A State Volleyball Tournament two weeks ago. The Lady Bulldogs went 19-9 overall.

Senior Cassidy Goddard and junior Bobbi Starkebaum were named All-Conference players this season. Senior Megan Walker received All-Conference, Honorable Mention designation. Post-season honors are voted on by coaches of each players respective league.

Goddard, a middle hitter for the Lady Bulldogs, put down 213 kills this season. She also registered 50 total blocks at the net. In the service department, Goddard sent over 36 aces and scored 32 points. She earned a 92 serving percentage in 2023. She also registered 255 digs and 647 passes on serve receive.

Throughout her time on the court as a Haxtun Lady Bulldog, Goddard racked up 646 kills, 222 blocks and 113 serving aces in a total of 343 sets played. She also totaled 645 digs and 1,020 receptions on serve receive.

This past weekend, Goddard played in the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State game.

Bobbi Starkebaum

Starkebaum, also a middle hitter, put 218 kills on the floor this season. She also totaled 72 blocks at the net. On defense, she tallied 43 digs and five passes on serve receive. Starkebaum also shares duties as setter; in that category, she racked up 70 assists to her fellow hitters.

Walker, setter for the Lady Bulldogs, tallied 386 sets in her senior season. She also registered 152 kills as a hitter. She served 53 aces over the net and scored 55 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

In her high school career, Walker played in 343 sets in which she put down 452 kills and registered 111 total blocks. She also tallied 759 digs and sent 165 aces over the net.

Walker recently signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career with McCook Community College in the fall.
