HAXTUN SENIOR Trent Wernsman wraps up Shawn Hollis of Wiggins in the 157-pound division of a dual between the two teams on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The Sedgwick County/Fleming team hosted the dual in Fleming. The boys' team won 54.18; the girls' team won 30-18.
Competition for the Sedgwick County/Fleming wrestlers opened for the week last Tuesday, Dec. 5 in Fleming with a dual against Wiggins.
The boys' team won their dual 54-18; the girls' team won 30-18. Results from wrestlers competing out of Haxtun and Fleming in Tuesday's dual are as follows:
126-pound senior Kaiden Schelling defeated Tavon Palmer by fall in 1:00.
132-pound junior Scotty Engle won by forfeit.
138-pound junior Gage Helgoth defeated Reagan Thomas by fall in 3:43.
157-pound senior Trent Wernsman defeated Shawn Hollis by fall in 4:40.
