Wrestlers return to mats at Garden County following Christmas break

HAXTUN JUNIOR Ryan Davis looks to turn Kenyon Florom of Paxton during his third place match last weekend. Davis, who competes at 190 pounds, pinned Florom in 3:34 and brought home the third place medal.
The Sedgwick County/Fleming boys wrestlers hit the mat following their Christmas break. The team won the Garden County Invitational on Jan. 6 with 208.5 points out of 20 teams. They finished the tournament with six individual champions, three third places and two fourth places. Individual results from wrestlers competing out of Haxtun and Fleming are as follows:
106-pound freshman Colton Schliesser lost to Ashton Kay of Gering JV by fall and lost to Davian Palomo of Gering JV by fall.
