Sedg. Co./Fleming wrestlers compete in Nebraska invitationals

120-pound sophomore Annie Wilson works to take Payton Hynson of Yuma down for two points. Wilson defeated Hyson with a pin in :36, finished in first place and was named the Female Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.

On Jan. 12 the Sedgwick County/Fleming wrestlers traveled to Elm Creek, Neb. to compete in the Elm Creek Invitational. The team finished in second place. Individual results from wrestlers competing out of Haxtun Fleming are as follows:

106-pound freshman Colton Schliesser lost to Scotty Anderson of Sutherland by fall and lost to Andy Hernadez of Lexington JV by fall.

120-pound senior Kaiden Schelling took first place in his division. He won by fall over Kale Martinez of Sutherland in 2:23; won by fall over Breckon Johnson of Alma in 0:36; and won by fall over Walter Aguilar of Lexington JV in...
