Haxtun High School tracksters opened the 2024 season at the Yuma Early Qualifier on March 23 at Yuma High Schools. Top 10 results from that meet are as follows:
Girls
100-meter dash: Nea Giada, ninth, 15.50.
200-meter dash: Gaida, seventh, 30.73.
400-meter dash: Mikayli Benson, 10th, 1:19.21.
1,600-meter run: Jinjer Stroyek, fifth, 7:17.21.
100-meter hurdles: Halli Philp, 10th, 21.55.
Four-by-400-meter relay team: fourth, 4:50.30.
High jump: Jayleigh Bullard, first, four feet, 10 inches; Lexi Imhof, sixth, four feet, two inches.
Triple jump: Bullard, fifth, 30 feet, 5.5 inches.
Discus: Cassidy Goddard, first, 114 feet, 10 inches; Reagan Jones, third, 100 feet, five inches; Zoe Kurtzer, ninth, 88 feet.
Shot put: Goddard, second, 34 feet, 3.25 inches; Jones, 10th, 27 feet, 4.25 inches.
Boys
1,600-meter run: Aiden Starkebaum, fourth, 5:29.79.
High jump: Max Grauberger, sixth, five feet.
