Saturday has been set for the opening of a new store in Haxtun to be known as the Bauer Cash Grocery. The store is located in the Fairmont Creamery Company building and will be operated by Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Bauer, formerly of Maywood, Neb. Mr. Bauer recently became manager of the Fairmont station here.

Musicians in the Haxtun High School band will receive a trip to the national band contest in Colorado Springs next week as a reward for their showing in the state competition in Sterling last week. Anyone who wishes to help the band either by offering transportation o...
