HHS moves to remote learning following three positive cases

A phone call to parents from Superintendent Darcy Garretson on Labor Day announced that all Haxtun High School students would be on remote learning until Sept. 16. The call said there have been three positive COVID-19 cases within the high school.

"Three students or staff member at Haxtun High School have been diagnosed with COVID-19," Garretson said in a letter to parents that followed the initial phone call. "Each case of COVID-19 is interviewed by public health."

As part of that investigation, each person diagnosed is being kept home from school until they are no longer infectious,...
