Growers enter crops in annual Corn Festival crop & garden show

The reason for celebrating the season; the annual Crop and Garden Show drew a large amount of entrants in the 100th annual Corn Festival competition. Scott Thompson was named Irrigated Corn King and Starkebaum Farms received Dryland Corn King. Results from this year’s show are as follows:

Apple: Taeden Holcomb, first.

Green beans: Lois Orth, first, Taeden Holcomb, second, Teri Gilbertson, third.

Yellow beans: Cindy Kipp, first.

Other beans: Teri Gilbertson, first.

Brussel sprouts: Teri Gilbertson, first.

Red beets: Lois Orth, first, Teri Gilbertson, second.

Sugar beets: Teri Gilbertson, first....
