Frank Monteith, in passing Rube's Repair Shop shortly after ten in the morning Sunday, noticed what appeared to be a fire inside the building. Accompanied by Veylerd Baker, who lives next door, the two men crawled through a window and quickly put out the fire that had already started up the wall. It is thought that the fire could have been caused from sunrays shining through the window onto some papers. The only damage was some partly scorched wall. Mr. Monteith didn't fare as well. In putting out the fire, he upset a bottle of ink on his trousers. How about a new pair, Rube?
