Wildcats fall in two close road games last week; drop to 5-8 overall

KOLTEN HOUSER, Fleming Wildcat junior, prepares to go up for a shot in a recent home game against Idalia. The Wildcats went on the road last week at Akron and Briggsdale where Houser hit double digits on the scoreboard both nights with 10 points against Akron and the team-high 16 at Briggsdale.

The Fleming Wildcats dropped to 5-8 overall after suffering to close losses on the road last week. The Wildcats fell by five at Akron last Thursday and by just one against a highly ranked Briggsdale team.

Fleming came out on top in the opening quarter of Thursday's game at Akron jumping to a seven-point lead, 20-13. The Ram defense took over in the second quarter and held Fleming to just two points while the offense tacked on 15 to take a six-point advantage. Akron held a 28-22 lead at halftime.
