The Haxtun FBLA Chapter had a successful District Leadership Conference at Northeastern Junior College on Wednesday, Feb. 9. Aly Lock, State Officer for District 4, led a great conference. Azariah Calderon, Executive Vice President of Service, also assisted along with leading a workshop for members to attend. To round out the workshop team, Brad Clark also presented a workshop.

The Haxtun members had an opportunity to attend workshops as well as compete. After the competitions and workshops, students attended the keynote speaker, who was a hypnotist.

Finally, the awards ceremony was held, where many Haxtun students were able to accept their state qualifications. Qualifying for State are Azariah Calderon, first, Organizational Leadership; Megan Walker, first, Intro to Business Procedures; Mason Bornhoft, second, Intro to FBLA; Cassidy Goddard, second, Intro to Business Procedures; Brock Miller, second, Intro to Business Communications, and third, Intro to Financial Math; Emily Anderson, Kelsie Hadeen and Bobbi Starkebaum, second, Intro to Business Presentation; Grant Statz, second, Intro to Financial Math; Grace Gibson, second, Business Plan; Kaiden Schelling, third, Intro to FBLA; Alyssa Molde, third, Intro to Public Speaking, and fourth, Journalism; Kyle Fryrear, third, Political Science, and seventh, Securities and Investments; Jerron Turney, fourth, Political Science, and sixth, Economics; Ryland Wolff, fourth, Intro to IT; Emily Anderson, fourth, Intro to Parli Pro; Serenity Dick, fourth, Intro to Public Speaking; Taylor Schram, fourth, Human Resources Management, and sixth, Advertising.
