Haxtun falls in five to neighboring Lady Dragons

HAXTUN SOPHOMORE middle hitter Bobbi Starkebaum goes up for a block against Holyoke's Audrey Talavera on Friday night. The Lady Bulldogs fell to the Dragons in five sets.

The Haxtun Lady Bulldogs came back from a two-set deficit to take the Lady Dragons from Holyoke to five sets on the road Friday night. Despite a loss in the contest against the neighboring Lady Dragons, the Bulldog team battled and their head coach, Don Schelling, is proud of that.

"I was proud of how they fought after being down two sets," he said. "They continued to fight and were able to win sets three and four. We kind of got off to a slow start right from the beginning of the game but never gave up and continued to play for each other. What I am most proud of was them not giving...
