FLEMING'S KOLTEN HOUSER fights off Haxtun defender Kyle Fryrear in an 8-man contest held at Haxtun last Friday night.

The Fleming Wildcats returned to gridiron action last week following a two-week hiatus due to game cancellations. Fleming was scheduled to play at Granada and Crawford, Neb., but a forfeit and a cancelled game kept the team sidelined after their most recent win, 44-6, over Idalia on Sept. 2.

Friday night's anticipated return put the Wildcats on Haxtun's field for an 8-man contest against the defending 8-man State Champion Bulldogs. Despite the 6-man team's efforts to leash hosting Bulldogs, they came up short falling 46-0.

Individual stats for the Wildcats were not reported as of press time.

The Wildcats retain their number two spot in Colorado High School Activities Association rankings. They sit behind number-one ranked Stratton, a squad their scheduled to face in the final week of the season.

The Wildcats are set to return to 6-man play this week against the Peetz Bulldogs. Peetz enters at 1-3 with one of those losses at the hands of the North Park Wildcats - a team that Fleming defeated 45-12 in week one.

Kickoff on Saturday at Peetz is set for 1:30 p.m. according to the schedule on MaxPreps.
