AS NEWS CAME that the Haxtun Swimming Pool Project has been recommended for approval of funding from Great Outdoors Colorado, crews began tearing off tin from the existing pool last week. The grant application now moves into the next round, awaiting final approval from the GOCO Board, which is expected to come in December.
Kick-off your Halloween weekend with a fun Trick or Trot one mile or 5k walk or run event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. Wear your costume, bring your friends and have a spooktacular good time! Little Sprouts Learning Center will be selling walking tacos with dessert and water out of the baseball field concession stand from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Waivers for the event can be picked up at the Haxtun Town Hall or Phillips County Extension Office.
