CREWS from Maguire Iron are pictured on scaffolding while power washing the outside of Haxtun's water tower last week. Extensive work on the tower included painting the exterior, repairing the coating on the bowl, touching up interior paint and installing a new safety rails on the interior ladder, which is used to attach to when crews have to harness to climb the tower.

(Herald photos by Candie Fix) MAGUIRE IRON has been busy working to refurbish the Fleming water tower, pictured at right, located at the Heritage Park. Both exterior and interior surfaces will be stripped to the base metal and any necessary maintenance will be done before new finishes will be applied. The work, expected to take about a month, is roughly half way done.
