HPHQ hold annual quilt show

The 2023 High Plains Heritage Quilters Corn Festival Quilt Show had more than 145 visitors with 58 quilt entries. The show was held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Haxtun Community Center.

The Ann Olson Plaque Award went to Kathy Pfaltzgraff and her scrappy black and white quilt. People's Choice Quilt went to Darcy Garretson. People's Choice Quilt Block went to Ronda Fetzer. The Raffle Quilt Winner was Melinda Rovetti. New this year, the High Plains Heritage Quilters had a sponsor, Shanda Willmon, owner of Auntie's Antiques, who gave out two cash awards.
