Joint operation results in HPD arrest of Stuteville

On Oct. 2, after an investigation by the Haxtun Police Department, a joint operation conducted with the Haxtun Police Department, Phillips County Sheriff's Office, the Logan County Sheriff's Office and the 13th Judicial District Attorney's Office, led to the arrest of Joshua Stuteville, 31, Otis, after he agreed to meet an underage, 14-year-old female with plans on engaging in a sexual encounter.

Stuteville was taken into custody without incident. Stuteville is charged with the following charges and will be held without bond until advised by a judge: enticement of a child, a Class 4 Felony; Internet luring of a child, a Class 4 Felony; attempted sex assault on a child, a Class 5 Felony; Internet sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 4 Felony; and sexual exploitation of a child, a Class 3 Felony.
