Annual Chuckwagon set for March 21

Saturday, March 21 marks the 47th annual Haxtun Lions Club Chuckwagon Dinner and Show featuring Orion and Stacey Potter, a dynamic duo performing covers of multiple genres. The event, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. includes dinner and the live show at Haxtun Schools.

The annual event, now on the upper end of its fourth decade, welcomes Orion and Stacey Potter in the band’s first appearance in Haxtun.

Orion and Stacey Potter have been charming audiences with their fantastic voices and dynamic performances for nearly a decade. The duo met in 2000, married three years later and began performing together around the nation in 2009. While they make their home in the Black Hills of South Dakota, the couple travels all over, bringing joy and nostalgia to all who hear them.

From Johnny Cash to Patsy Cline, The Shirelles to Elvis and Peggy Lee to Frank Sinatra, their performances cover multiple genres and promise to have audience members laughing, clapping and tapping their toes to the show.

The annual Chuckwagon Dinner and Show benefits local community projects within the Haxtun community.

Tickets for the Chuckwagon can be purchased in Trail Boss packets of 10 or individually from any Haxtun Lions Club member or at the door. Dinner, featuring the traditional roast beef meal, will be served at the Haxtun Elementary School from 5:30-7 p.m. followed by entertainment by Orion and Stacey Potter in the high school gym at 7 p.m.
