Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Chryst, pictured, who observed their 57th wedding anniversary here on Thursday, Nov. 3, have been residents of Haxtun for 20 years. Mrs. Chryst will be 78 on her next birthday. Her father lost his life in the Civil War in 1863. Mr. Chryst is 79 years old.

Election returns from the counties of Phillips, Sedgwick and Logan have practically assured the election of Fred M. Swisher, Democrat, as state senator from the 12th District. Other results: D.F. Sagehorn, Republican, county commissioner; Mrs. Emma S. Kramer, county clerk; H.B. Radford, coroner...
