    The Haxtun FFA Chapter held their annual Haunted House Halloween night. This year's theme was Black-Hole. Each class took time the week before to set up and decorate. The layout first started with a black hallway into one main room. From here there were four connecting rooms that people could walk into at any time, trying to find the room with the exit.     The past week has been very busy for the Haxtun FFA Chapter. The annual member auction sale took place on Saturday, Sept. 30, during the 102nd Corn Festival. This year the chapter sold 74 members, starting with the president, Brock Miller, and ending with the advisor, Jeff Plumb.     Freshman from the Haxtun FFA Chapter went to Northeastern Junior College on Thursday, Sept. 21 to participate in the Becoming Involved as a Greenhand Conference. The B.I.G. conference gets the greenhands, which is the first degree in FFA, an opportunity to see the benefits of being a member in FFA.     On July 16-17 the Haxtun FFA chapter officers took a trip up to Fort Collins for their annual officer retreat. This year's team consists of nine officers that were chosen at the end of May by last year's retiring senior officers.
