Not present were Rod Anderson and alternate Laurie Anderson. The team won first honors at the annual regional Academic Bowl held Saturday, Feb. 9 at Merino. This is the fourth year in a row the Haxtun High Academic Team has won first place honors.

At a beautiful and impressive candlelight ceremony was solemnized at six-thirty o'clock on Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Anderson when their daughter, Miss Violet, was given in marriage to Mr. Bern Trego, son of A.A. Trego. The ceremony was witnessed by the immediate families. The marriage vows were read by Rev. William Pepper of the Methodist Church at Holyoke.

Mrs. James R. Birrell entertained at a four o'clock tea Sunday afternoon, honoring her mother, Mrs. Ruby Ewing of Sedgwick. The invited guests were former students and friends of Mrs...
