  • Herald publication date set to change in two weeks

    The Haxtun-Fleming Herald is announcing a change in publication date from Wednesday to Thursday beginning June 15. As Haxtun’s hometown newspaper, this shift comes as a change with our current printing company. Online subscribers will be able to log-in and read the online issue on Thursday mornings with the print edition hitting mailboxes on Friday.     The Haxtun Police Department registered a sex offender in city limits last week. Eliyahu Nachman Maarav, age 36, is registered in the 500 block of Fairview Avenue.     13 Years Ago June 1, 1938 H.M. Clements, Phillips County sheriff, was seeking Wednesday the whereabouts of L.M. Dietz, itinerant sign painter, who worked at Haxtun for several days the past week.     Two pitchers and the Bulldogs catcher received All-Conference honors at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Haxtun came out on top as the 1A State Baseball Champions with an over 23-2 record. Seniors Michael Gerk, the team's catcher, and pitchers, senior Jerron Turney and junior Kaiden Schelling were named to the All-Conference list by a vote of head coaches from the Lower Platte League.
